October 15th, 2002 l S-1339 Has Passed! l The Persian Gulf War POW/MIA Accountability Act S-1339 which is called the Speicher Bill is on the way to the President for his signature. It just passed out of the House. Thanks go to Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell, the sponsor for his hard work in the Senate and Congressman Dan Burton who led the way in the House. October 11th, 2002 l Important Status Change! l U.S. Navy Secretary Gordon England officially changed Captain Scott Speicher's status from MIA (missing in action) to Missing/Captured.
